For those who still think...

Jarkko Ahola is one of the many talents in metal. Why people don't see that, well...they're just too shallow to really look into it. They think all metal is like death and black metal and look no further. Not trying to bash these two subgenres, I actually listen to the likes of Cannibal Corpse and other death metal bands myself, but I do understand why people don't like such vocals. That's fine with me, what isn't fine is that they don't realize that even growling, screaming and other aggressive vocals aren't easy. You need talent, technique and a lot of practice, exactly the same things you need to sing clean vocals. And the rest is just prejudice, the instant they see a guy with long hair playing metal they think he's a rude asshole who doesn't shower and makes his living by drinking himself into oblivion and yelling stupid stuff into the microphone. It's sad, but what can you do when they won't listen?
